Is the Community Edition free?
Yes — completely. There's no XpertApps subscription and no account. You bring your own Anthropic key and pay Anthropic only for your usage — typically a few cents a session.
Which plan do I need — Community, Team, or Enterprise?
Community is free for one developer on your own Anthropic key — solo work.
Team ($99/developer/month) adds the Hub, BYO-Claude (your key, your AI gateway, Amazon Bedrock, or Google Vertex), basic SSO, and team governance.
Enterprise runs Claude in your own cloud (Bedrock or Vertex) inside your VPC — SAML enforcement, SCIM, RBAC, audit-log streaming, and data residency.
Do you charge for tokens or credits?
No credits, no token markup. You bring your own Claude and pay your provider directly — your Anthropic key on Community; your AI gateway, Amazon Bedrock, or Google Vertex on Team; your own Bedrock or Vertex in your VPC on Enterprise.
We charge a flat per-seat fee with fair use — no usage surprises. Prefer not to run your own gateway or cloud? Add the optional Managed Claude add-on to Team for $59/developer/month.
Do you store my ServiceNow credentials?
No — we never ask for them. Engineer rides your existing ServiceNow session and acts under your permissions. Nothing separate to enter or store.
Can it change things in my instance automatically?
Only with your approval. Write mode is off by default, and every create, update, or delete is gated behind an explicit plan-and-approve step. Every plan works on development and sub-production instances only — never production.
Which ServiceNow versions are supported?
Any version — Engineer works against the standard ServiceNow REST API, so there's no platform plugin to install.
