We read all 1,653 partner listings on the ServiceNow Store. Of the installable partner apps among them, 158 were certified no further than Yokohama, the oldest release in the Store’s three-release window. Unless recertified, they fall outside the window when Brazil ships.
The dictionary read-only checkbox became a four-option choice—so the same certified app can protect data differently for different customers.
In our projects, a scoped Store app takes about 7–11 weeks from design to listing. That covers 1–2 weeks of design, 2–3 of build and test, a week for the certification documents, and ServiceNow’s review. ServiceNow says its review “typically requires 3-5 weeks” (KB1270874). Maintenance is a release certification for each ServiceNow family release (ServiceNow’s Upgrade Policy says it “generally releases two new release families per year”): we retest your app and submit the revised test plan. Changes are scoped as new work and recertified, on retainer or per project.
