How XpertApps Engineer Works
Research first. Change with approval. Revert anytime.
A look at the workflow that lets you move fast on ServiceNow without giving up control — every step shown on a real instance.
It Lives Inside ServiceNow
Install the extension, add your access key, and connect your instance. A chat panel appears on the right edge of any ServiceNow page — no platform plugin, no app to deploy. Your credentials are stored locally in your browser only.
Ask Anything About Your Instance
"What customisations exist on the Incident table?" "Why is this business rule firing twice?" XpertApps Engineer searches business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies, and flows, then traces how they connect — turning hours of manual digging into minutes.
Nothing Changes Without Your Say-So
Turn on AI write mode and the assistant proposes a plan before touching anything. You review exactly what will be created, updated, or deleted — and it only executes after you click Approve. Each approved session runs in its own scoped update set.
Every Change, Tracked
The change log records every modification with version numbers that line up with ServiceNow's native Versions related list — grouped by update set. You always know exactly what was created, updated, or deleted.
Undo With Confidence
Made a change you want to roll back? Select it and undo using ServiceNow's own mechanisms — version restore for updates, record deletion for new creations, and Restore File for deletions. No bespoke rollback magic to trust.
